PERFORMING ARTS FACILITIES

Our dedicated studios and stages are where students come together to rehearse, perform and refine their craft.

Hacker Theater

With its advanced lighting and sound systems, excellent acoustics and comfortable seating, Hacker Theater is the perfect venue for schoolwide events, gatherings and performances.

Gaines Dance Barn

The Gaines Dance Barn features large windows, a wall of mirrors and a durable, slip-resistant and cushioned Marley floor specially designed to support all kinds of dance training.

Music Building

Porter’s historic Music Building includes music instruction and practice rooms. With its brick fireplace and homey interior, it’s a comfortable and cozy place to learn and grow as a musician.

VISUAL ARTS SPACES

In galleries and studios across campus, you’ll find tailored spaces and equipment that encourage creative investigation, experimentation and growth.

Olin Arts and Science Center

Olin is at the heart of Porter’s visual arts program. From painting, printmaking and design studios to kilns and darkroom, Olin has all the tools and resources an artist needs to explore their creative passions and sharpen their skills.

On-Campus Galleries

The Donaldson and Gilbert galleries are dedicated exhibition spaces where students and visiting artists display their work. We invite students and visiting artists to present their artwork in our gallery spaces so their talent and ideas can inspire and intrigue the entire Porter’s community.
