Energy Use and Production

From energy-efficient LED lighting and solar power to modern HVAC systems, high-performance window glazing and EV charging stations, our sustainability initiatives reduce carbon emissions while creating a smarter, more resilient built environment.

Land Management

Our land management approach weaves together a retention pond planted with water-loving perennials, native species and diverse flora to support local wildlife habitats. It’s all maintained through eco-friendly horticultural practices and a partnership with local agencies designed to steward the riverfront.

Sustainable Building

Our sustainable building philosophy embraces adaptive reuse and historic preservation. We incorporate eco-friendly materials, reclaimed wood from on-site tree removals and integrated renewable energy systems to honor the past while building responsibly for the future.

Student Initiatives

Students drive our sustainability mission through hands-on initiatives, including an on-campus apiary, food-waste composting and town-wide clean-ups.
