Professional Development Opportunities

Learn from and with fellow educators as part of a community of like-minded professionals.

Through our professional development experiences, you’ll gain the tools and insights needed to confront challenges impacting schools nationwide—and spark meaningful change in your own classrooms.

At Miss Porter’s School, we bring together teachers and administrators from schools and academic institutions across the country to explore evolving problems and opportunities in K-12 education. Through engaging discussions, presentations and group exercises, we deliver the practical guidance and thoughtful insight you need to prepare today’s students to become confident leaders and thinkers.

Our programs explore a wide range of timely topics—from revamping curriculum to make it more relevant and interdisciplinary, to shifting assessment structures to prioritize student growth, to redesigning academic schedules for better balance and productivity. We also help institutions navigate challenges and roadblocks that sometimes accompany ambitious change and evolution.

Four people sit in a panel discussion for an education professional development workshop; one woman gestures while speaking, and the others listen. They all have name tags and green lanyards. One man in front is writing in a notebook.
Three women gather around a table with laptops, drinks, and notebooks, collaborating on a project for teaching professional development in a brightly lit room with a colorful painting and large windows in the background.

“I am thinking about the kind of change that my school can/should implement, why and how. I appreciated learning about the processes MPS undertook to reimagine education.”
